Media scholar and assistant professor for digital media and mobile media at Department of Media Studies at the Paderborn University. He wrote Das geöffnete Intervall – Medientheorie und Ästhetik des Videospiels(2014) and is co-editor of Diskurse des strategischen Spiels. Medialität, Gouvernementalität, Topografie (2015), as well as Sortieren, Sammeln, Suchen, Spielen. Die Datenbank als mediale Praxis (2012). In his works, he combines approaches of media theory, aesthetics and epistemology, to research historical and contemporary viewing conditions, (image-)action and meaning making.
