Annette Vowinckel
Annette Vowinckel is the head of "Contemporary History of the Media and Information Society" at the Centre for Contemporary History Research, Potsdam (with Jürgen Danyel). Her research focuses on contemporary history, cultural and media history as well as the history of ideas. Her most important publications include Geschichtsbegriff und Historisches Denken bei Hannah Arendt (Böhlau 2001), Grundwissen Philosophie: Hannah Arendt (Reclam 2006 and Reclam 2015) and Agenten der Bilder. Fotografisches Handeln im 20. Jahrhundert (Wallstein 2016). Next to Vowinckel's research on relational images of world and modern formations of visual publicness, her current work on Hannah Arendt's Origins of Totalitarianism also interconnects with key research topics of Cinepoetics.
