Anke Hennig
Anke Hennig is lecturer at The Berlin University of Art and at Central Saint Martins College of the University of the Arts London. From January to December 2017 she is a fellow at Cinepoetics. Often working interdisciplinary and collaboratively, her focus of research lies on contemporary literature and visual culture.
Since 2011 she has been working increasingly on the relation between speculative-ontological approaches and linguistic philosophical theories of the 20th century with colleagues like Armen Avanessian, resulting, for example, in the monographies Präsens. Poetik eines Tempus (Diaphanes, Berlin 2012) and Metanoia. Spekulative Ontologie der Sprache (Merve, Berlin 2014). In addition, she initiated the research group Retro-Formalism, which examines temporality of theories and whose aim is to expand the art-theoretical framework beyond contemporary modes of thinking.
